FAQ

What makes it better than measuring with a ruler?

Measuring each hole individually accumulates error — by the last hole, it is wrong. HoleCopy captures the entire pattern in one photo and corrects for the camera angle, so all holes stay in sync with each other.

What kinds of parts does it work on?

Flat parts with round through-holes 3 mm or larger, where the part and reference sheet fit in one photo. Hinges, brackets, speaker plates, handles, latch plates, mounting blocks — any hardware pattern that is copied in your workshop.

Do I need an internet connection?

No. The app is offline. All processing happens on your device.

How accurate is it?

HoleCopy is a positioning aid, not a precision measuring tool. Always print the reference sheet and measure the check bar to confirm your printer did not scale the page. Drill a small pilot hole first when precision matters. Not intended for safety-critical parts.

What happens to my photos?

They stay on your device. HoleCopy does not upload them, analyze them, or send them anywhere. When you delete a project, the photos are deleted too.

Is there a subscription?

No. The reference sheet and the editing tools are free. Only saving, sharing, and printing the finished PDF or SVG requires a one-time purchase.
