What's different from a calculator that only gives spacing?
Most spacing calculators only give you the gap size, leaving you to add it up mark by mark — and the error shows up on the last one. MarkSpan gives you the running dimensions (300.0, 600.0, 900.0...) measured from the edge, so you hook your tape once and mark straight down the line.
How do I enter a measurement like 5' 10-7/8"?
Use the dedicated inch-fraction keypad to enter feet, inches, and real fractions like 1/2, 1/4, 1/8 and 1/16 directly. Results display the same way, so there's no converting back and forth from what your tape measure shows.
What if the rounded marks don't quite add up at the end?
Choose your rounding step (0.5 mm, 1/16 in, and more), and MarkSpan always shows the exact error introduced by rounding at each mark, so you can see where it falls and nudge the last mark if needed.
Does it work without an internet connection?
Completely. All calculations run entirely on your device, fully offline. No internet connection or account is required.
