Features
Running dimensions, not gaps
MarkSpan gives you the running dimensions — 300.0, 600.0, 900.0 — measured straight from the edge, not just the gap size. Hook your tape at the edge and leave it there: every mark comes off the same zero, so stacking error never creeps in.
Four layout modes, picked by diagram
Even gaps (ends included), marks at both ends, even centers, or fixed pitch (455 mm / 16 in). Pick the mode by looking at a diagram, whether you're setting shelf pins, fence posts, or studs and joists.
A real site toolkit
Circle divide gives you the chord length you can step off with a compass — angles alone can't be measured on site. Diagonal check shows the target diagonal for a square frame and which corner to push. Slope length works out the true length along a slope from angle, rise/run, or roof pitch.
Full inch-fraction support
Enter and read real-world lengths like 5' 10-7/8" with a dedicated fraction keypad. Round to 0.5 mm or 1/16 in, and see the exact rounding error at every mark so nothing surprises you on the last one.
Fully offline, one-time purchase, no ads
No account, no internet connection required — every calculation runs on your device. One purchase unlocks everything, with no subscription and no ads. Available in 50 languages for job sites everywhere.
Enter a length and a count. MarkSpan gives you every mark position measured from the edge — so you can hook your tape once and mark them all, with no stacking error.
Most spacing calculators only give you the gap size, leaving you to add it up mark by mark. MarkSpan gives you the running dimensions: 300.0, 600.0, 900.0 — exactly what you mark with a tape.
