Sight and aim
Enter the azimuth and elevation of your target (satellite, repeater, aerial). The cross-hair gauge shows real-time error: horizontal axis is azimuth, vertical is elevation. Hold within ±2° for 3 seconds and it locks automatically.
Dial in aerial azimuth and elevation, then hold your phone along the beam and watch the cross-hair guide you to alignment.

Enter the azimuth and elevation of your target (satellite, repeater, aerial). The cross-hair gauge shows real-time error: horizontal axis is azimuth, vertical is elevation. Hold within ±2° for 3 seconds and it locks automatically.
Hold your phone along the aerial beam with the long edge as the beam axis and the top edge pointing toward the target. The cross-hair in the centre shows you how far off you are. Tilt and rotate until both axes are centred.
The compass and tilt sensors are built into your phone, but they can be affected by metal, electronics, and local magnetic fields. Heading accuracy is always visible as ±degrees so you know when to recalibrate against a known landmark.
Each successful alignment records the target name, final error (azimuth and elevation), and time taken. Keep a log of every adjustment you make, searchable by target and date.
Switch each target between true north and magnetic north. Automatic declination (your phone calculates it from location) or manual entry — your choice.
Save satellites, repeaters, aerials you adjust regularly. Switch between targets instantly, each with its own azimuth, elevation, and north reference.
Enter the azimuth and elevation you're aiming for, then hold your phone along the TV aerial and watch the cross-hair guide you in.
AIM
- A cross-hair gauge shows azimuth error on one axis, elevation on the other
- Hold within range for a few seconds and it locks automatically
SAVE
- Keep multiple targets — satellites, repeaters, aerials you adjust often
- Switch between true north and magnetic north per target
LOG
- Every alignment is recorded with final error and time taken
- A logbook you can look back on, target by target
HONEST ABOUT WHAT IT SHOWS
- Dish Pointer shows compass and tilt readings — it does not measure signal strength or guarantee reception
- Heading accuracy is always visible, so you know when to recalibrate
