• Is this an ISO 18738 compliant measurement?

  No. It is not a calibrated instrument. Values follow the idea of the ISO 18738 method and the Smooth / Noticeable / Worth reporting bands are this app's own reference scale.

• Why can't I measure while holding the phone?

  Hand movement is far larger than elevator vibration. The app checks the noise floor for 2 seconds and asks you to place the phone on the floor.

• Does it work without a barometer?

  Ride detection needs the barometer. On a device without one the app says so and cannot record rides.
