Do I need a special striping kit or a roller mower?
No. A roller makes the stripes stand out more, but any mower bends the grass as it passes, and that bend is what you see. MowLine's guide works with a push mower or a ride-on either way.
Why do my real stripes look fainter than the preview?
Usually the grass is cut too short, or you're mowing the same direction every week. Lift the cut height a notch and change direction each time — MowLine suggests a new one for you.
Does it work on couch or buffalo grass?
Yes, though results vary by grass type. Fine, upright grasses hold a stripe best; coarse runners like buffalo show a softer pattern. Longer cut heights help on any lawn.
Are my lawn photos uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything happens on your iPhone. MowLine has no servers, no accounts and no analytics.
Can I save designs for more than one lawn?
Yes. Keep a separate history for the front yard, the backyard or any other area, and MowLine remembers the last pattern and direction you used on each.
